Emily Whetung MacInnes elected Chief of Curve Lake First Nation

LLF Lawyers would like to congratulate Emily Whetung MacInnes on being elected Chief of Curve Lake First Nation. Emily received 62% of the votes cast in the election held on June 17, 2019.

Emily is a Real Estate Lawyer at LLF Lawyers LLP and will be taking a sabbatical from the firm while in her role of Chief beginning Monday July 1, 2019.

Clients seeking counsel in Indigenous/Aboriginal Law may contact the firm and will be directed to another lawyer with experience in this area. We are not sure exactly how long Emily will be away from the firm.  She will need to be in her new role and see how much time is required for her as Chief.

We wish Emily great success in her role as Chief and are proud to see the Curve Lake Community make such an excellent choice for their new Chief.
